Alley Stage is celebrating its sixth year as Shake Rag Alley’s nationally recognized theater company, dedicated to the production of original and popular plays, readings and music events. Our summer season is presented on our outdoor stage, which is built into a natural limestone cliff on the Shake Rag Alley campus. Like so much else in Mineral Point, Alley Stage is an experience quiteapart from the ordinary. You may have been to outdoor theaters before, but one this intimate is rare. With 120 seats, you are always within reach of the actors, a proximity that absorbs you into the story in a most exhilarating way. It’s a delightful way to spend a warm summer evening under the stars. For a special treat, come early and bring a picnic to enjoy in the two and a half acres of the Shake Rag gardens. Throughout the rest of the year we offer events at the newly restored historic Mineral Point Opera House and other local venues.
