Alley Stage.Dedicated to the production of original and popular plays, readings and music events. Our summer season is presented on our outdoor stage, built into a natural limestone cliff on the Shake Rag Alley campus. It’s a delightful way to spend a summer evening under the stars. Mineral Point Opera House. Dedicated in 1915 as the “Theater for All the People,” built as a vaudeville house that attracted artists who presented live drama, grand opera and symphonic music. As time went by, movies took over. During 2009, this magnificent old theater was restored to its original grandeur. Today it combines live stage and the big screen to provide audiences with a variety of entertainment choices.
Shake Rag School of Arts & Crafts. A wellspring of creativity, Shake Rag is a lively arts education center set in a historic picturesque valley. Students come from all over to take classes from creative writing to blacksmithing, from mosaics to jewelry-making to rustic furniture.
