Mineral Point Dog

Mineral Point’s most famous and best loved dog is a zinc cast statue. The dog has overlooked more than 130 years of Mineral Point’s history. Originally, the dog promoted the large and elegant local department store of Gundry & Gray. Both men were from Cornwall where it was a custom to identify stores with animal statutes. If the number of photographs taken is any indication, our canine is one very photogenic dog. You will find him on his loft at 215 High Street.
