The Mineral Point Historical Society is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the unique history of Mineral Point. Its headquarters is the beautiful 19th century Italianate mansion and grounds known as Orchard Lawn. Tours of this estate are available June – October or by special arrangements during the rest of the year. The Society also sponsors events and programs for the community throughout the year and rents the facilities for private events, especially weddings.
The Mineral Point Medical Center, with a satellite office located in Dodgeville, strives to provide a caring, personalized, and professional service for infants, children, teens, and adults.
Built in 1914 as a vaudeville house, the Mineral Point Opera House was restored in 2009. It is both a movie theater and a live stage with music and theater events throughout the year. It is also available to rent for weddings and business meetings.
The Mineral Point depot was built in 1856 from local materials, and has survived to become the oldest depot in Wisconsin. The Mineral Point Railroad Society was formed in 2000 to further the restoration of Mineral Point’s historic railroad depot, and to promote historic preservation and community awareness through related historical activities. Once the restoration was completed, the depot reopened to the public as a railroad museum on September 2nd, 2004. The museum is open Thursday – Sunday from May through October.

A full time potter for more than 3 decades, Frank Polizzi produces wood-fired stoneware, flame ware and porcelain, and pit-fired earthen ware. His pieces are traditional in form and the locally dug, food-safe glazes add a vibrant and natural element for all functional and aesthetic needs.
